It seems nearly everyone has decided to make their own roleplaying game. So why should I be any different. For a while, I have wanted to put together my own ruleset and it seems like now is as good a time as any.
The ruleset currently has a codename of Project 5.4. This is emphasize that the rules will be built on the 5th edition SRD, but also be heavily influenced by D&D 4e. I do not expect the result to be compatible with either once it is done.

Kobold Press released another update on Project Black Flag and it contained a ton of great information
They highlighted some of the specific feedback from the first playtest that they will be incorporating into the next release
The went into detail on what we can expect in the next playtest packet in mid-March

They also indicated that they will be launching a kickstarter in May along with a quickstart guide.
DriveThruRPG is having a sale on a bunch of products. It is listed as a GMs Day sale, but it includes a ton of stuff. It runs through 3/14/2023.
GM Toolbox
This week’s toolbox are some prompts to help you if you need some encounters for your party finds themselves traveling through the skies in an airship.
Random Airship Encounter Prompts (d6)
While flying through the mountains, the party hears a beautiful chorus echoing through the hills below them. The song is hypnotic and the crew begins to steer the ship towards the rocky cliffs.
A group of cloud giants decide to attack the airship in order to loot its valuable cargo. The giants use their strength to hurl boulders at the airship and bring it down.
As the airship flies through a region known for its turbulent weather, the party suddenly finds itself in the midst of a powerful elemental storm. Lightning bolts, high winds, and hailstones batter the airship, threatening to tear it apart.
A massive roc swoops down from the sky and snatches a crew member from the deck of the airship. The party must fight the roc to save their ally and prevent further attacks.
A group of sky pirates attacks the airship from a ship of their own, hoping to loot its cargo and take any valuable prisoners. The party must fend off the pirates and prevent them from boarding the airship.
The party spots the wreckage of another airship that got caught on a rocky outcropping. A group of stranded travelers are trapped on a narrow ledge. Some wild predators are approaching the stranded party’s location.
